Assassin's Creed Introduces Surprising AoT Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a surprising partnership that defies usual forecasts, the game developer has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Disclosed
According to the authorized statement, "A strange meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of banned practices and monstrous transformations reverberate through the shadows." The storyline features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden group.
The questline concentrates on "strange experiments and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Changes
The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a powerful moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Additional Features
Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an special katana in addition to multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
- Titan-based outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe
- Unique arms
- Survey Corps mount
Newest Free Story Content
This release also introduces the game's latest free story addition, titled "The Mystery." This humorous mission teams Naoe and Yasuke as they trade signature skills: Naoe debuts a theatrical version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters non-lethal stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "A Puzzlement" also includes a original environmental puzzle that may ultimately clarify some unanswered questions from the main storyline.

This represents not the primary time the Assassin's Creed franchise has crossed over with popular anime properties. The series formerly showcased a 2020 crossover story uniting Assassin's Creed: Valhalla with Makoto Yukimura's Vinland Saga.
